How do I create a countdown?
Tap the + in the top corner, give your event a title, pick a date (and optionally a time), choose an emoji and color, then Save.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap the + in the top corner, search for Countdown, choose a size, and add it. Lock Screen widgets are added from the Lock Screen's customize screen.
How do I choose which event a widget shows?
Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and pick the event. You can also long‑press an event in the app and choose Show in Widget to set a default.
My reminders aren't showing up.
Make sure notifications are allowed: iOS Settings → Apps → Countdown → Notifications. You can add as many alerts as you like per event (e.g. 2 weeks, 3 days, 1 hour before) in the event editor.
How do I sync events across my devices?
Open Settings inside the app and turn on iCloud Sync. Both devices must be signed in to the same Apple Account. (Photos you attach stay on each device.)
What's the Live Activity option?
When enabled in Settings, your soonest event shows a live countdown on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island during its final hours.
